Shipping
BidZombie currently supports shipping within the United States only.
For shipped orders, the seller is responsible for safely packaging the sold item and determining the exact shipping amount requested by BidZombie after the sale or order is placed.
The seller must enter the requested shipping amount before the buyer completes final payment. BidZombie will then provide the buyer with a secure payment link or payment request reflecting the applicable merchandise price, fees, taxes, and shipping.
After payment, the seller is responsible for purchasing the shipping label, entering valid tracking information, and shipping the order within BidZombie’s required timeframes.
Because items sold through BidZombie may vary significantly in size, weight, condition, source, and shipping requirements, packing and shipping costs may vary by item.
Auction Payments
For shipped auction items, payment is not completed immediately when the auction closes. After the auction ends, the seller must package and weigh the item and enter the exact shipping amount requested by BidZombie. BidZombie will then provide the winning bidder with a secure payment link or payment request reflecting the applicable merchandise price, buyer’s premium, taxes, and shipping.
For Local Pickup auction items, the shipping-quote step does not apply. The buyer must complete payment through the payment process provided by BidZombie.
Winning bids remain binding, and buyers are responsible for completing payment within BidZombie’s required timeframe.
Bids Are Binding — No Cancellations
All bids placed on BidZombie are binding.
Once a bid has been submitted, it cannot be canceled, withdrawn, or retracted simply because the bidder changes their mind, bids by mistake, later decides they do not want the item, or fails to review the item’s pickup or shipping requirements.
Bidders are responsible for reviewing the item description, condition, photographs, shipping information, and any Local Pickup requirements before placing a bid.
By placing a bid, the bidder confirms their intention to purchase the item if they are the winning bidder.
Item Condition / As-Is, Where-Is
Unless specifically stated otherwise in an individual listing, items offered by BidZombie are sold as-is and where-is, with their existing condition, wear, imperfections, and characteristics.
Many items sold through BidZombie are secondhand, vintage, estate-sale, storage-unit, or resale finds and may show signs of age, use, wear, dust, cosmetic imperfections, or other condition issues.
BidZombie makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate photographs and descriptions. However, buyers are responsible for reviewing all available photographs, descriptions, measurements, condition notes, shipping information, and pickup requirements before bidding or purchasing.
Local Pickup
Local Pickup may be offered for certain items at no charge.
Pickup information will be provided privately after payment has been completed. Buyers should not arrive at a pickup location without confirmation and instructions from BidZombie.
Pickup locations and available pickup hours may vary depending on the item.
Local Pickup Required Items
Certain large, heavy, fragile, oversized, or otherwise impractical-to-ship items will be clearly identified as:
LOCAL PICKUP REQUIRED
These items will not be shipped.
Before a buyer can bid on or purchase a Local Pickup Required item, BidZombie intends to require the buyer to acknowledge that they understand and accept the pickup requirement.
By bidding on or purchasing a Local Pickup Required item, the buyer agrees that:
- the item cannot be shipped;
- payment must be completed through the payment process provided by BidZombie;
- the buyer is responsible for traveling to the designated pickup location;
- the buyer is responsible for reviewing the pickup requirement before bidding; and
- pickup must be completed within the required pickup period.
Pickup Schedule
The initial pickup for an auction item will normally be scheduled for the second calendar day following the close of the auction.
If a buyer cannot attend the scheduled pickup, the buyer must contact BidZombie to arrange another pickup time.
Any rescheduled pickup must be completed no later than the seventh calendar day following the close of the auction.
Missing a rescheduled pickup does not automatically extend the seven-day deadline. Any extension beyond the normal pickup period must be specifically approved by BidZombie.
Buyer Loading Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for bringing enough people, tools, equipment, straps, dollies, and an appropriate vehicle to safely remove and transport Local Pickup items.
Unless specifically agreed in advance, BidZombie is not responsible for:
- disassembling items;
- lifting or carrying items;
- loading items into a buyer’s vehicle;
- securing items for transportation; or
- transporting purchased items.
Buyers should review the item’s size and weight before bidding and arrive prepared to remove it safely.
Pickup, loading, disassembly, and transportation are performed at the buyer’s expense and risk. Buyers are responsible for any damage they or anyone assisting them causes to the pickup property, other merchandise, vehicles, equipment, or surrounding areas while removing their purchases.
Pickup by Another Person
A buyer may authorize another person to collect an order on their behalf, but BidZombie must be notified in advance.
The person collecting the order may be required to provide the buyer’s name, order or invoice information, and valid identification before merchandise is released.
BidZombie reserves the right to refuse release of an order if we cannot reasonably verify that the person is authorized to collect it.
Proof of Purchase & Pickup Signature
Buyers should have their paid order confirmation or invoice available at pickup, either electronically or in printed form.
At pickup, the buyer or authorized pickup person must sign the invoice or pickup receipt acknowledging that:
- the correct item was received;
- the item was inspected before removal;
- the buyer accepts the item in its condition at pickup; and
- the pickup has been completed.
BidZombie may retain the signed invoice or pickup receipt as proof that the item was released to and accepted by the buyer or the buyer’s authorized representative.
Inspection and Final Verification at Pickup
Buyers are encouraged to inspect Local Pickup items before removing them from the pickup location.
Before leaving, buyers are responsible for confirming that they have received the correct item or items and all components reasonably included with the purchase.
Any visible problem, missing piece, incorrect item, or condition concern should be brought to BidZombie’s attention before leaving the pickup location.
Once an item has been removed from the pickup location, claims involving visible damage, missing components, or condition issues that could reasonably have been identified during pickup may be limited, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Items Not Picked Up
If a paid Local Pickup item has not been collected by the end of the seventh calendar day following the auction close, and no different arrangement has been approved by BidZombie, the item will be considered forfeited.
The buyer will no longer have a right to claim the item, and BidZombie may return the item to inventory, resell it, dispose of it, or otherwise handle it at BidZombie’s discretion.
No refund will be issued for an item forfeited because the buyer failed to complete pickup within the required period, except where required by applicable law.
Delivery Issues
Once a shipped package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, delivery timing is controlled by that carrier.
If a shipment is delayed, damaged, or lost, buyers should contact BidZombie and we will assist where reasonably possible.
Pickup Location & Safety
Pickup addresses and instructions will be provided privately to the buyer after payment.
For safety and security, buyers should not attempt to locate or visit a pickup location before receiving confirmation from BidZombie.
